Artists Found!

Adventures in Aluria is a game that has a lot of cards. We had had trouble finding an artist willing to do the artwork for the initial set of hero cards. We just needed six character portraits to start with,yet every avenue we tried came up with no one willing to take the work. The situation was baffling to our graphic designer; our art director was beside himself with frustration.

Although we had just started developing our social media presence, we got the idea to tell this story on Tumblr -- a platform with lots of creative people and a vibrant and supportive community. To our joy, we had an outpouring of support! Mutuals picked up and boosted our plea. A veritable army of illustrators heeded the call and asked if they could help. Unfortunately, more people than we could easily respond to.

If you’re an artist and we have not gotten a chance yet to respond to you personally, our sincerest apologies and gratitude for reaching out to us. We had so many candidates reach out that we are still overwhelmed.

The community support on Tumblr has been wonderful, and really touched our hearts. Thank you all so very much!
